Our regular Carers' Voice Open Meetings are held in-person at The Carers' Centre in Bath. There is also an option to join virtually via Zoom.
The contribution that unpaid carers make to their families,
local communities, and nationally is enormous.
Yet, we know that all too often, carers feel unseen and undervalued.
Carers’ Voice aims to change this.
What is Carers' Voice?
Carers' Voice brings together those with experience of caring, who want to make change happen.
It's an opportunity for people who know the unique nature of the caring role to have their voices heard and influence service providers and key decision-makers in the area.
Members communicate with local and national organisations, particularly professional services in the area including Bath and North East Somerset Council and the RUH.
Some current and recent activities Carers’ Voice have been involved in:
- Helping to plan our activity for Carers Rights Day in 2022
- Taking part in student social work training at Bath University
- Being part of a radio show broadcast on Somer Valley FM
- Attending a meeting to discuss 'carer passports' in hospitals
- Supporting the design of a new leaflet promoting our services
