Lindsey attended our activities for young carers as part of her social work placements, and then began her journey with The Carers' Centre!
She has had various roles with us over the past 7 years, continually growing her skill set. From a student on work placement, volunteer, and now an experienced support officer.
Lindsey says:
"I love to help young carers discover their voice, and I empower them to find ways to feel more supported in school. I regularly run wellbeing sessions where I create a safe space for them to explore and understand their feelings and emotions."
"I feel proud everyday of the young carers I meet and couldn’t imagine doing anything else! I mean who wouldn’t love tobogganing, slides and helping kids have the best days they can possible have?"
