Gordon is a Chartered Accountant having trained and qualified with Price Waterhouse in London.
From 2005 to his retirement in July 2018 he was a founder partner and Chief Operating Officer of Heronbridge Investment Management LLP, a fund management firm based in Bath, specialising in institutional clients including charitable endowments.
Between 1993 and 2005 he held various operational and financial positions within the fund management industry, having worked at Mercury Asset Management and Guinness Flight.
Gordon has undertaken a number of carer roles for close family members as a result of acute illness. He continues to support a number of medical and sporting charities.
