Emma Sawyer
Finance Manager
Emma joined The Carers' Centre in May 2022, she takes care of the day-to-day finance tasks as well as assisting with things like year end procedures and budget management. Her favourite part of working here is being part of an organisation that provides such an important service for carers.
She has previous experience in finance roles at other not for profit organisations and is passionate about working with charities to help improve their financial management capacity. She has also worked in a number of administrative and customer facing roles, and loves to work with people. She is starting an MSc in international development in October 2022 and loves to learn new things.
When Emma isn’t working she can be found camping, hiking and generally spending time outdoors! She loves to travel and has spent time in various parts of Asia and Central America as well as living in Australia and Canada. More recently, In 2021 she walked five hundred miles on the Camino Del Norte in Spain and raised money for a crisis support organisation she volunteers for.
