School Engagement Officer
Young Carers Service
Salary: £25,848 FTE
Contract type: 1-year fixed term.
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours a week over a full year or 28.5 hours a week school term time only.
Job base: Hybrid – remote or from our office based in Bath. Please note this role requires travel throughout Bath and North East Somerset and a car is essential.

About the role
Do you strive to make a difference? Are you looking for an exciting project to get stuck in to? Look no further! Join our team as our dynamic School Engagement Officer. We’re looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will lead a unique project to help young carers who are disproportionally affected by Covid-19.
As someone with excellent communications skills and experience in working with various stakeholders, including young people, you will build and maintain positive relationships with educational professionals and young carers across Bath and North East Somerset. You will be eager to find out and understand the needs of these users, to deliver innovative digital content that will better support young carers in schools.
This is a part-time post with working days and times negotiable.

We provide trusted information, advice and support to unpaid carers of all ages, enabling them to maintain or improve their health and wellbeing, stay in control of their caring role and get connected with others in a similar situation to them. In addition, we work with the wider community to improve recognition and support for unpaid carers.
